Excellent education is…

Have you ever read advertisements consciously? Especially before political elections you can see lots of well chosen words on them. I saw lots of them recently. I found one that made me think also I agreed with the content: Excellent education is expensive, bad education is even more expensive. FDP ( A political party in Germany).

This statement leaves it for the reader to figure out what excellent education is.

The hidden questions are: what is excellent education? How can you get excellent education? How is excellent education recognizable? Where do you get excellent education? And where can you connect to like-minded people? What is the price of excellent education?

How can you find out who has excellent education and apply it in any circumstances. Which signs help you to spot people with excellent education? Do you belong to this group? Or are you heading to belong to this group?

How can you figure out which offers of excellent education is matching your demands?

And finally, how do you show your excellent education to others?

“Phew! Worth that I find thoroughly answers for.”

Yes, you are right here. You get hints making up your opinion through reading mission statements and company policies.

What feeling is coming up when you reading or listening to it? You can discuss it with your friends or colleagues. What did they suggest as excellent education and proof for it?

“The companies are looking for university degrees or certificates to prove the education.”

Certainly, they do. Have you ever written something like a certificate or testimonial? When it is easy to go along with a person it is easier to come up with positive well-chosen words. When someone really challenges you with the behaviour you might have to rewrite it several times to come up with an objective description. A written certificate or testimonial is good to have. You have to convince with your personality as well this is what makes all the difference in the long run.

“This is soooo true.”

What are the hidden concepts behind this understanding of excellent education? Have you ever thought about the topics behind these questions? I am sure you have.

They want to have the perfect employee matching their needs. So excellent education often is what this person has to learn to have the right skills for the job. Excellent education is much more.

All these questions during an interview or assessment should serve one purpose: Do your education matches their demands perfectly? The assessment is there to find out more then you have written in CV and cover letter and more than in an interview. Assessments are more complex and made of complex challenges. And they offer the possibility to find out whether you can apply what you stated in your CV.

The higher your job in the hierarchy the closer they look at YOU. In essence they have a picture in mind to measure your education and whether you are a good fit for them. So you’d better have in mind a picture of your education and their understanding of education. You are just one wheel.

When these two are very different from each other, you will have a hard time. You might succeed to write your cover letter and CV matching their needs. You might succeed cheating yourself and them through the interview and maybe through the assessment.

It is exhausting for you to play a role against your personality. And it will be that way all the time.

Part of excellent education is you apply your personality and capabilities  to circumstances without cheating yourself and others.

People who cheat themselves and others will have to pay a price for it. They do so either by developing health issues, social difficulties or  getting caught red handed. It is annoying and embarrassing.

To avoid all that trouble you’d better care about your understanding about education and that of people you have to deal with. It is always easy to get along with someone who has the same opinion as you do. It is challenging to deal with people who challenge you by a very different understanding of education.

Being able to deal with people successfully who think very differently is a sign of excellent education.

The more you know about your understanding of it as well as that of others, the easier things are for you. You can find the best matching team member, employee, customer, friend for you.

That differs from situation to situation. A friend should have a lot in common with you, while it is good to find a team member or a colleague with additional as well as similar understanding.

You’d better learn to spot the best matching people for you. Life is easier with the right people around you.

You can start right away: Type it in a document on your computer, write it down with your hand or record what you say. Discuss it with others, read about it. And then come up with your opinion and what you want to learn to improve yourself, your skills and gain an excellent education.

There will be lots of funny surprises on your way. Enjoy the process developing and challenging YOU. Enjoy the outcome: Be YOU!
