Get along with yourself!
The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people. Theodore Roosevelt
Have you ever thought about it? Do you know it is more important than other skills and knowledge you gain?
The most important person you have to know how to get along with is YOU. When you struggle with yourself you will have a hard time to get along with others.
How do you get along with yourself?
“I have to think about that answer very thoroughly. I want to be honest to myself.”
That is a great idea. It is good to ask yourself this question once in a while; the answer can vary over time. Do you know how you can figure that out?
“Yes, difficulties with other people are a sign of the fact, that I have difficulties in getting along with myself.”
Those are good hints. There are although some hints you get when you listen to your body.
“Such as?”
Do you have difficulties to sleep well? Or do you long for coffee or black tea in the morning or even sweets? Do you often get diseases like back pain or headache? Do you often feel exhausted?
When your answer to one or more of these questions is “yes”, then it is high time to learn to know yourself better. Learn to get along with yourself. Getting along with yourself shows through feeling comfortable with yourself. Another good sign is your vibrancy and feeling of happiness from inside out.
Imagine what you can discover along the way: marvellous abilities and skills you have. You will meet fascinating new people as people like to be around people who get along with themselves.
The more you know about yourself the better you can develop and use your abilities for several purposes. As a side
effect you get along better with other people.
The better you know yourself, the easier it is for you to attract the right people. And it is quite easy to get along with the right people. It is fun to be with them or to work with them.
First of all, start getting along with yourself. Then you will enjoy being on your own as well as being together with other people.
That includes a very good nutrition as well as enough restful sleep and regular moving.
Of course this is different for all of us. In general it means lots of fresh fruits and vegetable and just a bit fat preferably from plants like oil or in nuts and avocado. You can also eat fish or meat occasionally. Drink pure water as often as possible throughout your day.
You’d better stay away from convenient food as well as sugar, caffeine and alcohol. This interferes with the demands of your body and mind. In fact it lowers the function of both of them, as well as how they work together. And the ingredients in processed food make you fat and cause diseases.
Instead, prepare your food or drinks by yourself when possible. Wash an apple and eat it or peel a banana that is done easily and fast. You just need the time to enjoy it without being scattered.
Learn to breathe properly and deeply. Exhale deeply several times a day and let the inhaling take place. This helps you to let go of tense and get enough oxygen.
Move regularly, use stairs instead of elevator. Walk if possible instead of taking your car or motorcycle. Wherever you can implement moving to your schedule do it.
Enjoy discovering new tastes, smells and sights. Enjoy discovering the fascinating person in your life: YOU.
Start NOW and you’ll have the first results in minutes or days.
