Your No. 1 step to mastery: Understand the concept!

Have you ever thought about learning the concept of something first before you even start learning it?

I know you want to learn things right away: a skill, a language. You want to learn it fast and good at the same time as you want to do lots of other things too. That is great. So the best is to learn the concept first and you save lots of time for learning.

Yes, it is sometimes hard to be patient in the beginning. You burn for it, so you want to speak with native speakers or want to use your skills. Musicians want to play the piece soon on stage; actors want to play it in front of a camera.

It is hard to imagine that you will learn faster and better when you figure out the concept first. Have a very thoroughly look at what you want to learn. Split what you want to learn into the tiniest possible pieces and find out what their speciality is.

When you find similarities practise them in a more intensive way. Practise consciously for five, ten or more minutes each day over the whole day. Be sure that you are conscious about how you do it. And stop right away when you doubt that it is what you were going to do. Instead do something to rest or that you can focus on.

These minutes can do more for your progress than doing the same unconsciously for hours. You might end up practising that for a week or month without doing the whole in that time. When you do it when you have gone through all preparations carefully and consciously it is there. You will be surprised by the quality of the result.

When you compare it to the time you need to get a similar result through the unconscious way the latter one takes much more time. That is because you do discover mistakes want to correct them and end up finding out that they come up again and again.

That happens because unconsciously you repeated the error over and over.  Now it is there in your mind and body long- lasting. I can hear your Pheew and how you shout out: When I only had done it ……

Hey come on. Now it is the way it is. Now stop whining and complaining or shouting at yourself and others. You can change it. You can learn to learn and act in a more conscious way.

The best is you can repeat the process the next time and get the same or better result faster. When you want to play the same piece of music after 2 years of playing different music you can be sure when you start the process again you will end up playing it better after a shorter while of learning.

Learning consciously helps you to understand the concepts behind new things. You learn to learn in your way. Learning gets fun and is easier then.

It is exciting to learn a language or other skill and gain mastery in it. Soon you can start over again learning something new.

That lets you always be a step ahead in societies where knowledge comes up and changes fast. While you learn things you learn about yourself and others. That is very important for all people dealing with lots of people. When you sell or teach, learn or lead it is always helpful to know YOU! When you know YOU well enough it is easier to know about others.

To know you is crucial when you are a leader. Leaders are often lonely. Leaders come up with new ideas and invent process, societies and surrounding.

Other people have a hard time to understand YOU as they are up to the preconceived ideas they know and live with. Also they like to gain the better results you offer them they are scared by the new.

That could be that their imagination is less vivid than yours. It could be that they are anxious to lose what they love.

When you want to lead, start leading YOU. When you succeed leading yourself you can start leading others. In fact they will ask you to do so.

So understanding concepts and applying their essence helps you learning. Applying the learned strengthens your strengths. When you are a leader you become an even better one. When you are a maker you become an even better one.

So you strengthen yourself. You can team up with people having additional skills and experiences.

Have fun discovering the hidden concepts and apply them. Have fun playing with the hidden concepts.
