Your label is your brand

Have you ever experienced how people get labelled by others? Did you ever labelled other people? A label put the person into a box often a closed one.

What for people get labelled?

First of all for their body seize. That starts from our birth; people like to give nicknames which include a label: The little ones, who are meant by that? Usually the children in the room or the family are called that way.

People use to call a large skinny person beanpole. I think you will know many more that fits in this category. Do you remember how it felt being labelled that way?

People get labelled for their illnesses: she/ he are a diabetic, alcoholic, addict…..

People get labelled by their jobs: chimney sweeper, who knows the name of this person? There are other jobs in which peoples names get secondary and the job is important.

People get labelled for their accomplishments. This happens rarely. When you are labelled for your extraordinary accomplishments embrace, enjoy and celebrate this award.

What does it do with you when you accept this label you get by others?

Most labels limit you to something. That is ok when it is for your extraordinary accomplishments in your job or personal that you want to be appreciated for. This kind of label is a highly valuable award you definitely should welcome as it is the sign for your success. Still be careful when a label you get exclude further development as you have several facets.

Refuse to accept labels that are limiting you and refuse labelling yourself in a limiting way. Limiting labels belong into the next bin. You want to keep the way open to accomplishing higher levels of development. Reframe the meaning of a label that is limiting you. When you are labelled as little or beanpole or something related to your body seize it is hardly useful to waste your time with thinking about that label in detail.

When the label is related to something that is in your hands to change grab the choice by the tail and find out what symptoms you want to change and what you need to do to reach that. Instead of seeing yourself as a diabetic who keeps you at the status quo or worsen that status you better say to yourself:  I have to find a way that enables me to improve the way I deal with myself and my body to get healthy again.

I know that is seen as ridiculous by many people as a chronic disease hardly can be healed. Why should you believe that something is impossible to reach before you have the proof? At least it opens yourself the way to become your own healer and experience that you can influence your life. when you succeed it was worth the effort, when you miss to reach your goal you can be satisfied as you did all you could do to change it to the better.

When you believe into the common view you end up taking medicine your whole life and experiencing that others know better than you what is good for you.

Getting help is good, when the support helps you to help yourself. This way it takes a while to reach your goal and includes the risk to miss it. It is far better than depending on other peoples expertise without being able to influence the result.

The only label you really want to get and except is the label for extraordinary results you accomplished. The true essence of branding yourself is getting labelled for what you want to brand yourself for.

So what labels do you want to earn? Being known for YOUR Art of Public Speaking? Develop your way to deliver your messages with your pizzazz when being on stage.

Do you want to be known for The Power of Your Voice? Improve your Voice and get heard. That is important for Singers, Public Speakers and anyone who wants to be recognised immediately using the own voice.

Do you want to be known for….? Whatever it is you want to be labelled for make sure you gain mastery in it and earning the medal or award through your accomplishments. That way you gain peoples appreciation because they want to do things that you easily do.

When you are in public show your accomplishments and keep your hard work to yourself.

A music professor once said on a seminar to the students: The tempo of that song could be varied between the limits. It is one thing to aim to be able to play it in the fastest tempo, that belongs in your personal practice room or when working with your professor or other students on it. When you are on stage play in a tempo you can easily play. It is your task to reach the level of being comfortable playing it before you play it on stage.

I agree with that. This way you have protected areas in which you work on your own growing. Embrace getting rewarded for your success when performing in public.

You can reach a lot more that way as you get a feedback for your accomplishments without your own prejudices or that of people that know your capabilities well. You or they might be blind for certain things that a fresh gaze by a new person uncovers.

Reach high when you want to be labelled for your success. You want to collect all the golden eggs of wisdom and capabilities on your way to the top. Develop yourself constantly with discipline as it becomes blissipline over time. When people recognise your bliss delivering and performing in the way they perceive as your best you get rewarded for things you can easily do.

Things you can easily do are the things that you enjoy doing. So you get happier and as true happiness supports your health you get healthier as well. Being happy and healthy enables you to propel your accomplishments and capabilities to higher levels.

Aim high and enjoy to brand yourself for being happy, healthy and a great achiever.
